If you are looking for somewhere that will give you an outstanding view of London, Greenwich certainly fits the bill. Considered the place where west and east meet, the Home of Time has numerous attractions all in an astonishing riverside setting only minutes away from the centre of London.

Surrounded by open spaces and parks, it is very easy to get to Greenwich by train, DLR and bus. But if you want to have a very different experience, you can also get there by boat and discover the maritime history of London. There are many sights to explore here, from the Royal Observatory and the National Maritime Museum to Greenwich Park and Greenwich Market. Built at the end of the golden age of sail, The Cutty Sark is a great opportunity to discover what life was like aboard a 19th-century ship.  The world's last surviving tea clipper is a must see for anyone travelling to or living in Greenwich.

Open seven days a week, Greenwich Market is perfect for finding that antique, craft or collectable object and to explore street food from around the world.

The air quality in the ward is excellent, with low air pollution, and by October 2021, part of the borough of Greenwich became an Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) from the south circular road (A205) to the north. Greenwich’s crime rate is higher than the average in London.

Houses in this area are 20.49% owned outright, 26.1% owned with mortgage or loan, 22.02% private rent and 31.39% social housing.

There are approximately 176 primary schools and 59 secondary schools in Greenwich, of which 58 are rated as outstanding by Ofsted. The main hospitals in this area are Greenwich Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
