Houses for sale in Hawick, Scottish Borders

According to the latest Registers of Scotland data, the average home in Hawick sold for £136,261 in 2025. That figure comes from a substantial record of 5,823 sales logged over the past 24 years.

Prices have fallen back over the last three years. Compared with 2022, when the typical sale came in around £145,532, that's a fall of roughly 6.4%.

Looking back five years, average prices are up about 11.1% since 2020, a gain of around £13,594 in cash terms.

Zoom out to the past decade for the fuller picture. Back in 2015, homes here averaged £114,823, so the typical sold price has climbed about 18.7% since then, roughly 1.7% a year. Stretch the view to fifteen years and that annual pace edges up closer to 2.2%.
