According to the latest Registers of Scotland data, the average home in Selkirk sold for £126,357 in 2025. That figure comes from 2,773 sales logged over the past 24 years.

Prices have fallen back over the last three years. Compared with 2022, when the typical sale came in around £221,121, that's a fall of roughly 42.9%.

Looking back five years, average prices are down about 33.1% since 2020, a drop of around £62,419 in cash terms.

Zoom out to the past decade for the fuller picture. Back in 2015, homes here averaged £146,057, so the typical sold price has fallen about 13.5% since then, around 1.4% a year lower. Stretch the view to fifteen years and that annual pace edges up closer to -0.4%.
